Construction Services Intern - Field
About The Position
Under direct supervision, the engineering student will perform routine tasks and work on a wide variety of construction services tasks, gaining a well-rounded learning experience. The intern will assist construction managers with contract administration, research plans and specifications, respond to contractor requests for information, review material submittals, gather field data for design or problem solving, and support staff as needed. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management from an accredited university.
- Must have completed one year of study in a qualified program.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist construction managers with administration of construction contracts.
- Research construction plans and specifications.
- Respond to construction contractor requests for information.
- Review construction contractors’ material submittals.
- Gather field data for design or problem solving.
- Provide support to staff members as needed.
