About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support field operations on a project in Idaho. This position requires a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, with particular emphasis on steel erection standards. The ideal candidate is field-oriented, detail-driven, and capable of holding crews and subcontractors accountable to established safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of construction safety experience
  • OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, with emphasis on Subpart R (Steel Erection) and Subpart M (Fall Protection)
  • Experience conducting jobsite audits, incident investigations, and hazard assessments
  • Ability to develop and implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with field personnel, supervision, and client representatives

Responsibilities

  • Enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Conduct daily site inspections with focus on fall protection systems, steel erection activities, and high-risk work
  • Lead safety meetings, orientations, and task-specific briefings
  • Review and approve JHAs, fall protection plans, and lift plans as required
  • Monitor high-risk activities including steel erection, fall protection, and rigging operations
  • Investigate incidents and near misses; develop corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation
