About The Position
Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc is seeking a Construction Safety Associate for a large construction company project in Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining a strong field presence, spending 90% or more of the time monitoring job-site safety conditions and behaviors. The associate will help ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements and promote a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
- Excellent writing and computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to start the project as soon as possible.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 510 certification or additional experience.
- Local to the project; per diem is available if not local.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily job-site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to check compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
- Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
