Construction Quality Assurance Manager

Level One Personnel•Beltsville, MD
•$100,000 - $120,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Construction Quality Assurance Manager will support two facility retrofit projects for high-density AI infrastructure, including deployments supporting NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin. The role provides independent owner-side quality oversight from early design through operational handover, verifying critical installations and providing evidence that systems are ready for testing. The position is based on-site at assigned Maryland facilities and requires travel between sites. The manager establishes owner inspection and test plans, reviews contractor quality processes and records, verifies qualified electrical and mechanical work, tracks piping and electrical installation quality, and manages nonconformance documentation and corrective-action verification. The role coordinates required authority and special-inspection records, supports Commissioning and Operations with complete quality-readiness records, and escalates repeated or material defects. The manager may apply documented owner quality holds under project governance and require defect disposition by authorized engineering personnel, but does not independently approve engineered deviations or assume contractor quality and site-safety obligations. The first 30-day objectives are to publish quality plans and critical hold-point coverage; by day 60, implement traceable material and test records and effective nonconformance closure; and by day 90, demonstrate verified quality releases with no undocumented concealment or unresolved critical defects entering testing. Planned off-hours participation may be needed during commissioning or live-system interventions, with coordinated backup coverage. The position reports to the VP of Facility Delivery and Operations.
