About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector. This role involves performing routine duties under general supervision, including leading QA/QC and inspection for major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, and vertical construction replacement and modernization projects. Responsibilities include preparing daily reports, reviewing RFIs and submittals, developing and reviewing punch lists, maintaining testing and project logs, and verifying payment applications and schedules. The position requires evaluating and applying standard engineering techniques to meet specifications, utilizing advanced knowledge of site drawings, MOT plans, specifications, and end-user policies. Daily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings are also part of the role. The inspector will independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to ensure conformance with specifications and design, perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting, and provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Construction Management Experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • US citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years total experience of which 5+ years in a construction management role including experience providing QA/QC management and on-site inspection on construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or GIS.
  • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, document control software such as e-builder, procure, navigating electronic files for specifications and drawings, completing daily reports, and maintaining daily project records.
