This role involves providing CQA Services on CCR and Landfill projects, including Clay and Geosynthetic Liner Inspections. The technician will monitor, observe, and sample construction materials, potentially assist with Construction Materials Testing, and represent the company at client meetings. Daily reports and data sheets are prepared, and the role operates with moderate supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. TTL is willing to train qualified individuals with earthwork construction experience and will cover the cost of required certifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Construction Materials Testing or Construction Quality Assurance Experience.
  • Must be able to evaluate test results and identify different soils types.
  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and proficient in writing skills.
  • Must understand basic documentation and reporting procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Perform heavy lifting up to 50+lbs and ability to work in seasonal conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.).
  • May be required to work off-hours and weekends, travel overnight in state and out of state may be required (70% overall).

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or degree preferred. Emphasis in physical sciences and/or math.
  • Certified of ability to certify for the Compacted Clay and Geosynthetic Liner Inspector (GCI-ICP) course within 6 months.
  • NICET Level II Soils certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Radiation Safety Training
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training a plus.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly learn how to use additional software/online applications.

Responsibilities
