About The Position

Provides service and support to Touchstone internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, process, and products meet and/or exceed specifications. This role involves supporting MES through the resolution of Quality 'Escalates' and operator assistance/instruction, interpreting engineering drawings, and recording test/inspection data. The technician will also review inspection documents for accuracy, maintain organized files, apply statistical process control techniques, and evaluate data to create reports. Responsibilities include checking incoming material, reviewing and maintaining material test reports for traceability, performing routine inspections for print dimensions, and conducting cleanliness testing. Additionally, the role involves evaluating key process indicators, performing process and product audits, conducting gage calibration and Gage R&R studies, performing Return Unit Assessments, and conducting various paint inspections. The technician will also measure and send samples to laboratories for evaluation, submit Document Control Requests, and revise documents as needed. This position functions as an ISO Internal Auditor/AAR Internal Auditor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide MES support through the resolution of Quality 'Escalates' and operator assistance/instruction.
  • Interprets engineering drawings.
  • Records test/inspection data and audit results using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Review inspection documents for accuracy and maintain organized files.
  • Apply statistical process control techniques.
  • Evaluates data and create reports as required to be distributed to interested parties.
  • Checks incoming material as required.
  • Reviews and maintains material test reports on incoming material for Material Traceability as required.
  • Perform routine inspections for print dimensions (including CTQ) as required.
  • Perform cleanliness testing (Millipore) per Customer requirements and analyze results using RAM Optical.
  • Evaluation of key process indicators - Plate Fin/CuproBraze Fin Bond.
  • Perform scheduled process audits and random product audits.
  • Perform gage calibration and Gage R&R studies as required.
  • Perform Return Unit Assessments when defective product is returned from the Customer.
  • Perform paint inspections- visual, cross hatch testing, gloss readings, dry film thickness and pencil hardness as required.
  • Measure and send samples to Laboratories for evaluation as needed.
  • Submit Document Control Request and revise documents as needed.
