About The Position

Kapur is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Supervisor to oversee construction projects for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to completing projects on time.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction management or a related field is required.
Previous experience working on INDOT projects
Strong familiarity with construction practices, materials, and safety protocols.
Understanding of INDOT regulations and standards
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively coordinate with project teams and contractors

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP)) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead a team of construction technicians.
Monitor and execute projects according to plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
Follow timelines and budgets, adjusting as necessary to stay on track.
Perform sampling and testing of construction materials to verify quality standards are met.
Coordinate and oversee the work of assigned technicians to maintain consistency and accuracy in quality control processes.
Attend construction status meetings to stay updated on project progress.
Address any issues that arise during the construction process and develop solutions to overcome challenges.
