About The Position

The Construction Project Scheduler develops, maintains, analyzes, and communicates integrated project schedules for NELCO Worldwide construction and installation projects. Working closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, field leadership, engineering, estimating, procurement, manufacturing, and subcontractors, this position converts project requirements into realistic, resource-informed schedules that support safe, timely, and profitable execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant construction-scheduling experience may be considered.
  • Three or more years of project scheduling, project controls, construction coordination, or closely related experience supporting complex construction, healthcare, diagnostic-imaging, radiation-shielding, manufacturing, or specialty subcontracting environments.
  • Working proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, including schedule development, logic relationships, baselines, updates, and critical-path analysis.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, submittals, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, project contracts, scope requirements, and milestone commitments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with ERP, project-management, document-control, or reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present schedule information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and work effectively across multiple projects and locations.
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis, earned-value concepts, resource loading, cost loading, time-impact analysis, or claims-support documentation.
  • Experience coordinating schedules across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, field installation, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed baseline, bid, preconstruction, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and closeout schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Develop work breakdown structures, activity logic, durations, calendars, milestones, constraints, coding structures, and resource assumptions in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Integrate schedules from design, engineering, submittals, procurement, fabrication, site readiness, subcontractors, installation teams, testing, and project closeout.
  • Facilitate schedule-development and update meetings with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, and other functional leaders.
  • Collect and validate status information; update actual starts/finishes, remaining durations, percent complete, forecasts, and milestone dates on an established reporting cycle.
  • Perform critical-path, near-critical-path, float, sequencing, and variance analysis; identify potential delays and recommend practical recovery or mitigation options.
  • Prepare schedule narratives, look-ahead schedules, milestone reports, dashboards, progress curves, and executive summaries for internal and customer-facing review.
  • Evaluate the schedule impact of scope changes, change orders, late approvals, material delays, access restrictions, workforce constraints, and other project events.
  • Support time-impact analyses, recovery schedules, acceleration planning, and documentation for delay, extension-of-time, or change-management discussions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to align long-lead materials, shop production, deliveries, and field-installation sequencing.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor schedules for alignment with contractual milestones, NELCO commitments, and site requirements.
  • Maintain schedule files, update logs, assumptions, calendars, narratives, and supporting records in accordance with document-control standards.
  • Assist leadership with workload forecasting, resource planning, backlog visibility, and prioritization across multiple active projects.
  • Promote consistent scheduling standards, templates, coding practices, and reporting methods across the organization.
