AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Project Manager IV in Sacramento, CA. This role involves working closely with the Owner through the pre-construction phase, preparing RFQ documents, participating in confidential meetings and conceptual proposal reviews, and assisting with the proposal review process and interviews. The Project Manager IV will also assist in the review and scoring of potential Progressive DB teams and the selection of the most qualified Progressive Design Build Entity. Key responsibilities include developing the program and design criteria within budget and schedule, verifying the budget and schedule for the design-build phase, assisting with the review of a successful GMP, and preparing monthly reports for executive meetings. The role requires managing the site acquisition and CEQA process, overseeing the design phase, coordinating meetings, and tracking design review comments. Additionally, the Project Manager IV will monitor onsite construction activities, monthly schedule updates, and time impact analyses, and collaborate with the Owner and Contractors to improve project schedules. This position involves responding to stakeholder questions, facilitating stakeholder participation, and coordinating with other project stakeholders and Owner’s operations. Regular meetings with the Contractor, including progress, quality, scheduling, payment, and coordination meetings, are expected. The role also includes providing recommendations and documentation regarding contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders, liquidated damages, and architect errors/omissions. Evaluating Contractors’ proposed change order proposals, developing the Owner’s estimate, assisting with negotiations, and preparing all PCO and CO documentation are crucial. Risk analysis identification and mitigation strategies, maintaining project files for potential disputes, and tracking submittals and RFIs/RFCs are also key duties. The Project Manager IV will verify and recommend approval of Contractors’ progress payments, monitor contractor conformance with permits, and manage the correction of deficiencies. Input to monthly reports, exception reports, and contingency reports is required, as is coordinating the schedule for installation and receipt of owner-furnished equipment. Reviewing Contractors’ Daily Reports and coordinating programing, testing, and inspections are also part of the role.
