Requirements

Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with estimating, including describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to projects.
Assist with scheduling, creating working timelines for subcontractors/trades to ensure timely project completion.
Attend design meetings with owners and teams to understand design and structural engineers and architects.
Assist with buyout by sending bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors, and receiving and evaluating proposals to award subcontracts.
Assist with permitting by filling out permit forms, submitting them with drawings and fees to the city/county/fire department, and awaiting approval.
Review shop drawings and submittals from subcontractors, communicate to subcontractors that they can begin ordering material and working.
Assist with billing, including subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
Visit job sites with the Project Manager to ensure the project is running smoothly.
