About The Position

ARCO/Murray is seeking highly motivated Project Manager Interns passionate about the construction process to join their team for the Summer of 2027. This internship offers the opportunity to be responsible for project performance and profit from day one, empowering associates to drive their success. The role involves assisting Project Managers with various aspects of construction projects, from initial estimation to final billing and jobsite visits, with a strong emphasis on learning and development through weekly training sessions.

Requirements

Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study

Nice To Haves

Prior industry internship experience is a plus
Extracurricular involvement is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with estimating, including describing project proposals and assigning dollar values.
Assist with scheduling, creating timelines for subcontractors.
Attend design meetings with owners and teams to understand design and structural engineering aspects.
Participate in buyout processes, including sending bid instructions and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
Review shop drawings and submittals with the Project Manager and design team.
Work with Project Managers on the business side of building, including managing subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and project cost status.
Visit job sites with Project Managers and work with Project Superintendents to ensure smooth project execution.
Participate in weekly training sessions focused on understanding the role, business operations, building trades, and leveraging engineering backgrounds.
