D.R. Horton is hiring a Construction Intern for its summer 2027 internship program. The program provides students with hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities at D.R. Horton, its affiliated business functions, and across the homebuilding and homebuying process. Interns are assigned to a primary department or functional area and may gain experience through departmental rotations, project work, administrative support, research, reporting, training, office and field-based activities, jobsite observation, systems support, and other learning opportunities based on departmental needs, location, and business priorities. The intern supports the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function; learns relevant responsibilities, terminology, systems, policies, safety requirements, and procedures; and works with team members and cross-functional departments. The role includes training and opportunities to explore career paths that may lead to full-time employment after graduation. Assignment environments may vary and can include office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings. Physical requirements depend on the assignment and work location. Overtime and travel, including occasional overnight travel, may be required as business needs require.
