About The Position

Sierra Lobo is seeking a Construction Project Lead for its Facilities Department at NASA’s White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The role manages multimillion-dollar infrastructure and construction projects involving multiple contractors, ensuring work meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals while coordinating people, resources, and compliance requirements. The Project Lead must be familiar with Earned Value Management reporting requirements and able to mitigate cost and schedule challenges.

Requirements

• One of the following education and experience combinations: an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in engineering and three to five years of related engineering experience; a master's degree in engineering and one to three years of related engineering experience; or a bachelor's degree in business administration and three to five years of directly applicable project administration and project management experience.
• Experience leading projects of varying sizes and managing groups of engineers and technicians.
• Proficiency with common business software tools, including the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
• Strong ability to research and analyze financial data.
• Expertise in project management principles and practices, including earned value analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership in the Facilities Department as assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Provide project management, leadership, and oversight for construction projects of varying sizes, complexities, and customer requirements.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Report project health to management and customers.
• Lead and coordinate multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
• Use project management techniques and software, including Microsoft Project, to support project execution.
• Serve as a working project lead, as needed, to maintain project success and meet schedule and delivery commitments.
