About The Position

This is a federal contracting opportunity that we, the Company, are bidding on and has not been awarded. The availability of this position is contingent upon successful award of the contract. We are seeking an experienced Federal Construction Project Director responsible for oversight and execution of large and/or complex construction or renovation projects. Directly responsible for coordination of all necessary resources and liaison with senior management, client, and all other project related parties for successful project execution.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with tribal communities in remote locations.
• Construction Project Management and Construction Management skills.
• Budgeting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with attention to safety and quality.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction software tools, scheduling applications, and standard office productivity software.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a recognized engineering or architectural discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Ten (10) years relevant specialized experience in construction and/or the construction management area.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload wired broadband service (cable, fiber, or DSL).
• Some positions may require minimum 200-300 Mbps download / 25-35 Mbps upload speed.
• Wired broadband service (cable, fiber, or DSL) with at least minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload.
• Cellular hotspot or fixed wireless cellular services (e.g., T-Mobile Home Internet) may not be used as a primary connection.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in managing residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects is highly beneficial.
• Experience with Federal Construction projects is strongly preferred.
• May substitute a master’s degree and seven (7) years of experience or no degree with 15 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and execution of large and/or complex construction or renovation projects.
• Coordination of all necessary resources.
• Liaison with senior management, client, and all other project related parties for successful project execution.
• Oversee field activities, trades, and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Manage costs, track expenditures, and support financial decision-making for construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical documents.
• Collaborate with diverse teams, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Inspect all aspects of building construction to foundations, crawlspaces, and roofs.
• Provide quality assurance services.
