About The Position

The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for directing and coordinating all field crew activities. This position will ensure timely completion and delivery of quality products. Requirements

  • 7-9 years of carpentry experience in the commercial and/or residential sectors required.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Construction Foreman required.
  • Knowledgeable of the standard methods, practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade and its associated occupational hazards.
  • Knowledgeable of the qualities, adaptability, and use of various woods and materials.
  • Basic knowledge of state codes and procedures including energy codes.
  • Must have good work ethic, attitude and be reliable.
  • Solid basic math skills are necessary.
  • Communicate, read, comprehend, and comply with Company’s policies and procedures including safety and security.
  • Understanding and commitment to a safe work environment in this “safety sensitive” position.
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to perform effective planning and scheduling.
  • Must possess labor management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication, organizations, and math skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of residential applications of OSHA safety regulations.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State along with reliable transportation required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all field crew activities to obtain optimum efficiency and highest economy of operations, and to achieve maximum gross margins.
  • Ensure timely completion and the delivery of a quality product by monitoring the production schedule, communicating changes, and ensuring quality standards are met through the quality walk assurance program.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and company policy standards by thorough knowledge and enforcement of safety and employment policies.
  • Communicate and make recommendations to the Project Manager regarding schedules, employee issues, plan issues, time sheets, budget accuracy, change orders and extras and customer field issues etc.
  • Promote our business in the building community by building long term relationships with our customer’s field personal through daily communication to ensure that we have the relationships in place that will allow US LBM to continue to grow our business.
  • Provide a strong positive leadership example for all employees by providing direction, setting work examples, and mentoring employees.
  • Assisting crews in advanced tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with subcontract labor and provide expectations of quality and safety.
  • Review jobs for completion.
  • Ensure all company tools, equipment and material/supplies are used appropriately and always secured properly.
  • Effectively review, correct and approve weekly time records.
  • Cover City framing inspections, as well as builder service items.
  • Assist Operations in onsite training of new carpentry associates as well as the ability to effectively manage individual jobsites on an as needed basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
