About The Position

The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating building and facilities projects from planning through closeout. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and building codes. The position combines project coordination, engineering oversight, vendor management, and performance tracking to support successful project delivery and ongoing facilities operations. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Project Planning & Coordination Coordinate internal teams, third parties, vendors, and contractors for seamless project execution. Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and technical feasibility. Translate scope and requirements into actionable tasks, schedules, and resource plans. Prepare schedules, pre-planning documentation, and resource forecasting. Work with resource management to plan availability and allocation according to project timelines. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Engineering & Technical Oversight Review mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building envelope design and bidding documents. Evaluate contractor bids and make recommendations. Ensure technical specifications, safety regulations, and building codes are met. Oversee performance of HVAC, plumbing, and building envelope contractors. Address and resolve issues or obstacles that arise during construction. Project Performance & Financial Oversight Track and analyze project performance, expenditures, cost performance, and schedules. Report risks, blockers, overflows, or deficits to management. Communicate changes in scope, schedule, or cost. Suggest improvements to project performance and delivery processes. Evaluate overall engineering project performance. Communication & Reporting Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. Report and escalate issues as needed. Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external clients. Resource and manage Service Now tickets for completion and escalation. Documentation & Closeout Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Track procurement and contract deliverables. Close out projects and transition deliverables to operations teams. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Must Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent work experience. 4+ years of experience in construction, mechanical project engineering, or facilities project management. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building envelope systems preferred. Experience with task scheduling, resource assignment, and project tracking tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-starter with strong independent work ethic. Ability to work effectively with large and diverse teams.
