About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Program Manager to be based in Boston, MA. This role involves overseeing program activities for smaller programs or specific parts of larger programs, providing technical leadership, and advocating for ethical and safe practices. The position supports innovation in program management, identifies high-risk areas, and contributes to the global learning and people development strategy for program management. The Construction Program Manager will assess long-term trends, propose skill development, and support talent attraction and retention. They will be accountable for the financial success of AECOM Program Management agreements, serve as the primary client contact, identify new business opportunities in the education sector, and lead, mentor, and manage project teams.

Requirements

BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
MCPPO (Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official) registration is required.

Nice To Haves

15 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on the education sector (MSBA funded, schools, universities) and/or large scale publicly funded projects in Massachusetts.
Proven experience as a "seller-doer," with the ability to generate business and deliver projects successfully.
Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities

Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.
Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
Supports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.
Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise.
Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector, particularly focusing on schools and universities.
Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their professional growth and development.
