About The Position

The Construction Plumber is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plumbing system installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a high level of expertise and experience in plumbing systems, including water, gas, and sewage. The Master Plumber will manage projects, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and provide guidance and training to junior plumbers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program.
  • Valid Master Plumber license.
  • Proven experience in managing plumbing projects and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and water, gas, and drainage systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Perform inspections to ensure plumbing systems comply with all building codes and safety regulations.
  • Plan and oversee plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Order and maintain inventory of plumbing materials and supplies.
  • Ensure all plumbing work meets local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing effective and efficient solutions.
  • Repair or replace defective plumbing components and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems.
  • Provide guidance, training, and supervision to apprentices and junior plumbers.
