About The Position

ECC Exteriors is seeking a Construction Operations Director to oversee and manage construction operations across multiple job sites in Southern California. This role involves direct management of Construction Superintendents, coordination between project teams, vendor and subcontractor management, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction operations, team leadership, and financial acumen, with a commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction operations or field management, preferably in large-scale exterior renovation.
  • Prior experience managing teams of Superintendents or field personnel across multiple active projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of subcontractor management, pay applications, and construction financials.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with construction software platforms (e.g., Company Cam, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Comfortable presenting in meetings and collaborating cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and support a team of Construction Superintendents across multiple job sites, providing mentorship and resolving field issues.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between Superintendents, Project Managers, and the leadership team, coordinating site logistics, project timelines, and field resource allocation.
  • Review, verify, and process subcontractor and vendor pay applications for accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly accounting and operations meetings, providing field updates and discussing project budgets.
  • Ensure project milestones are being met by reviewing Superintendent reports, project schedules, and field performance metrics.
  • Promote and reinforce safety standards in line with OSHA and ECC protocols.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to ensure work meets specifications and quality expectations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and suggest or implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost overruns.
