Crowhurst Careers & Consulting is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Construction On-Site Superintendent with mandatory DOD Experience on behalf of our esteemed client. Our client operates across multiple locations in the United States and is looking for experienced professionals to join their dynamic team. As a Construction On-Site Superintendent with DOD Experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site airfield construction activities bringing at least 5 years of construction and paving experience. Your role will require you to be present on-site to manage and advise on quality and productivity issues, ensuring that work performance, particularly that of subcontractors, aligns with project plans and schedules. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will contribute to the effective execution of projects within budget and on time.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
5+ years of proven experience as an On-Site Superintendent in DOD airfield construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
Understanding and expertise in the DOD construction rules, regulations and documentation
Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, developers, and co-workers
The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
Availability to travel and attend to projects in various locations
Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate daily construction activities and manage subcontractors and personnel.
Implement comprehensive safety programs to create a secure working environment.
Ensure compliance with DOD regulations and maintain a commitment to safety.
Facilitate communication between all project participants.
Resolve issues and mediate disputes as needed to ensure project continuity.
Ensure quality control by monitoring workmanship and materials.
Conduct on-site inspections to uphold construction standards.
Prepare project reports to keep stakeholders informed about progress and challenges.
Develop and monitor CPM schedules, manpower utilization, material handling, and storage requirements.
Manage equipment use according to government and contractual guidelines.
