Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3+ years of experience in roadway or utility infrastructure construction either with an engineering firm or as an employee of a general construction contractor.
• Past experience in construction management or observation.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Ability to track unit price quantities, read plans, and understand standard specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Construction materials laboratory testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily observation of construction activities to verify compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily field reports.
• Track material quantities and unit prices.
• Interpret plans and specifications and maintain a red-line set of construction drawings.
• Assist contractors with RFIs and review material submittals.
• Conduct field testing of construction materials.
• Retrieve and document construction material samples.
• Perform other tasks associated with construction observation and inspection as assigned.
