About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing Technician for its St. Cloud, Minnesota office. The technician learns to conduct onsite testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt—on commercial and transportation construction projects. The company provides in-depth technical training and opportunities to earn industry certifications after passing examinations and demonstrating ability. Employees are encouraged to develop additional skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring. The position is part of a fast-paced team with a steady and growing project backlog. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and able to lift 50–75+ pounds. Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours may be needed. New hires must complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last three years.
Ability to lift 50–75+ pounds.
Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform field density tests of soils.
Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength testing.
Prepare daily reports.
Work with project managers and senior technicians or staff to ensure specifications are followed.
Perform routine sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt, and assist with more complex tasks as required.
