As a full-time Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction projects, from local eateries to major sports venues, are built with quality and safety at the forefront. Whether you're new to the field or bring years of expertise, you'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to advance. Seasoned professionals can take on leadership roles, guiding projects and mentoring colleagues. This role involves performing field and laboratory testing on construction materials like concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates, collecting and preparing samples for analysis, interpreting test results and preparing detailed reports, and working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure all work meets specifications and safety guidelines. You will also experience shifting work hours based on project demands and weather, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half). Occasional travel to support other offices is covered with per diem and lodging.
