As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you will spend most of your time outdoors, participating in projects and ensuring their integrity and safety. The role involves comprehending project specifications before fieldwork, precisely documenting observations and test outcomes related to construction materials, and handling data using field and lab information systems. You will also be responsible for verifying that field and laboratory equipment are precise and comply with industry standards, adhering to International Building Code (IBC) guidelines for testing and inspecting construction materials, and communicating with supervisors, contractors, and clients to report on project status and address any issues. Experience shifting work hours based on project needs and weather conditions, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half) is expected.
