This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The Construction Site Superintendent oversees all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Superintendents also enforce safety and quality control policies among employees and subcontractors. This position could have up to 10% travel. In addition, once work is completed near Roy Utah, the opportunity will shift to the missile field near Cheyenne, WY.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
Experience leading field operations.
Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA)
US Citizenship required.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Nice To Haves

Experience manager people preferred.
2 years of experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., EM 385 1-1, USACE CQM).
Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work of either 1) the total project or, due to size, scale and complexity, 2) a particular scope(s), subcontractor(s), or other portion(s) of the project
Produce daily reports and utilize the program Construction Management System (CMS)
Present project status during weekly Tag-Up meetings
Provide on-the-job training opportunities for Project/Construction Engineers. Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development
Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents
Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders
Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment
Know the submittal schedule
Update the project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents
Develop and maintain a three-week look ahead schedule
Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost-efficient manner
Schedule and monitor field productivity
Working with the full time NG Safety representative, enforce the safety program (EM385-1-1)
Working with the full time NG Quality Control representative, enforce quality (USACE CQM)
Assist in resolution of scope conflicts
Participate in the project management functions
Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner
