About The Position

As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our Project Management Group based out of Albany, NY. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the development of plans and schedules, working alongside other superintendents, supervisors, and administrators on project-related activities. You will actively work with the Senior Construction Manager in managing the overall project construction scope, schedule, and budget. For smaller scale projects, you will be responsible for leadership of the on-site project team management and subcontractor contract management in coordination with the Senior Construction Manager. You will also assist the Senior Construction Manager and Project Management teams with the change order process, including proper notification and supporting data gathering/organization development for Project Manager review and processing. Additionally, you will participate actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite, serving as Project Site Safety Leader in the absence of a full-time EHS Supervisor. You will estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment, assist in planning the execution of startup, commissioning, and closeout processes, and adhere to the policies and standards set forth in our quality management practices.

Requirements

  • Associate degree plus 2+ years relevant years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or CM discipline or 5+ years of relevant experience in a professional construction management role, with specific experience in procurement support and managing multi-discipline consstruction projects.
  • Ability to read plans/drawings/specifications and interpret data.
  • Construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.
  • Local Travel of 10%

  • OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification

Responsibilities
