About The Position

SERVPRO of Virginia Beach is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee construction projects and ensure high-quality service and customer and client satisfaction. The role manages a wide range of project functions, including leading the construction team, coordinating schedules and budgets, ensuring work meets applicable plans and requirements, maintaining project documentation, and conducting project debriefs. The position includes exposure to heat and potentially loud jobsite noise, and may require extended periods of walking or standing, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, and working at ceiling heights. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous construction management experience.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to meet established production goals and maintain profitability.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations of all construction projects and ensure customer and client satisfaction.
Manage the construction team and assign leads to superintendents.
Ensure project schedules are in place and monitor completion schedules and budgetary requirements.
Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, local codes, and the requirements of the scope of work.
Ensure proper project documentation, including photos, contracts, and change orders.
Perform end-of-day or end-of-job debriefs with other superintendents.
