About The Position

Ahern is hiring a Construction Manager for its Quad Cities office in Davenport, Iowa. The role manages the profit and loss of construction sprinkler work and provides direct oversight of the sprinkler sales and project management teams. Working with the General Manager and closely with operations, the Construction Manager ensures successful execution of sprinkler construction work across Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. The role also carries a sales quota in conjunction with the sales team and includes mentoring and growing Ahern’s contract business.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in design, sales, estimating, or project management in the fire sprinkler industry or a related field.
Post-secondary education in a related program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Commitment to exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to motivate others.
Ability to execute tasks with a high level of detail.
