About The Position

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing fiber construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires hands-on coordination with field crews, subcontractors, and customers while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across aerial and underground construction activities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in fiber construction (required)
  • Strong knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods, including pole placement
  • Proven ability to manage and work effectively with crews, subcontractors, and customers
  • Working knowledge of construction standards and best practices in telecommunications or utility environments
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects or priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in telecommunications or utility infrastructure construction
  • Familiarity with permitting, right-of-way, and local regulations
  • OSHA safety training or certifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily fiber construction activities, including aerial, underground, and pole placement work
  • Coordinate and supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing project updates, concerns, and expectations
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry regulations, and local requirements
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and permits
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, and operations) to align project execution
  • Track production, materials, and labor to support project reporting and cost control
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to scope
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all job sites
