As a Construction Manager, you will manage contract administration including budget, risk management, change processes (change orders and contract modifications), quality assurance, scope, schedule monitoring, payment requisitions, submittal and RFI processes, and prepare project closeout documents. You will keep all stakeholders informed throughout the entire project lifecycle, reporting work progress and budget matters to clients. You will perform risk mitigation activities and ensure adherence to site safety plans. You will facilitate and lead project meetings, documenting outcomes for the project team. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contracted personnel. You will respond proactively to work delays, emergencies, and other issues. You will review contractors’ schedules and provide constructive feedback. You will coordinate, implement, and manage project documentation and procedures in the project administration database. You will review and respond to minor submittments and RFIs, involving subject matter experts when necessary. You will understand project site logistics, specifications, geotechnical reports, drawings, environmental studies, erosion and sedimentation control plans, building codes, and licensing requirements. You will manage the construction field office, assign tasks to direct reports, including administration operations and resident project representatives. You will participate in hiring team members, including interviewing, conducting annual performance reviews, and administering discipline. You will oversee site representatives monitoring quality and conduct quality assurance inspections. You will coordinate commissioning requirements.
