About The Position

The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Sandra Day O’Connor Courthouse Hardening Project for the General Services Administration (GSA). This project involves existing curtainwall retrofits, replacement/reconfiguration of doors and lites in various systems, and the addition of an exit door. The role requires maintaining strong client relationships, managing project schedules, coordinating consultants and staff, and ensuring efficient cost control and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (5) years of construction experience serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative.
  • Experience in general construction, concrete, sitework and utility installation.
  • Have Experience managing GSA projects in a CMa role.
  • Have experience preparing cost estimates and Independent Government Estimates.
  • Have experience preparing Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Have experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals
  • Have experience with P100 and code compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing staff and consultants to provide a full range of construction management services, including change management, scheduling, budget analysis, estimating, risk management, commissioning, and quality assurance (Safety, MEP, Structural, Life Safety, Fire Prevention)
  • Have a degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering
  • Certified or pursuing certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMAA)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, Designer and the General Contractor
  • Manage and coordinate consultants and staff to provide a full range of construction management services.
  • Manage project schedules from inception to close out
  • Lead project meetings, document action items and produce agendas and minutes
  • Review and recommend for approval contractor monthly requisitions and invoices
  • Provide efficient change order and cost control management, provide Independent Government Estimates, analyze contractor proposals and make recommendations to GSA
  • Provide Daily reports, Quality Assurance inspections and report on project issues and provide status updates. Weekly and Monthly reports as required by the Client.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
