About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions, an industry leader since 1935, specializes in providing comprehensive energy solutions, including the construction and installation of fueling and charging stations for retail, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. Our in-house training programs enable our teams to offer a full spectrum of services, from construction and maintenance to equipment supply and expertise. We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead our branch-level construction team, overseeing the installation, servicing, and repair of structures and components at fueling stations. This role involves scheduling and managing installations, ensuring adherence to contracts and policies, managing staff, meeting project milestones within budget, and upholding company mission, policies, and safety practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven working experience in Construction Management.
  • Experience working with Fuel Stations is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing employees and subcontractors is required.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have experience managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously in all phases of construction.
  • Ability to prepare work estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for petroleum construction.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints is a must.
  • Ability to identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Ability to compute costs by analyzing labor, materials, and time requirements.
  • Ability to present prepared estimates to installation managers for final approval.
  • Must be able to meet company's employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR if driving for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment for all installation personnel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace and oversee worksites/office.
  • Verify accurate daily records, Safety Inspections, and Project Safety Forms (e.g., JSAs, AHAs, Meetings).
  • Develop and maintain strong customer business relationships, emphasizing customer satisfaction, quality, and cost control.
  • Conduct site safety audits.
  • Review departmental costs and overhead expenses to meet budgetary goals.
  • Oversee and verify accurate estimating, whether completed by subordinates or self.
  • Manage and review accurate, timely invoicing.
  • Focus on employee satisfaction, development, involvement, and empowerment.
  • Conduct annual employee reviews.
  • Verify that all Installation Division equipment is clean, safe, and operational.
  • Verify the cleanliness, compliance, and maintenance of the Installation Fleet.
  • Attend pre-job conferences to verify parts, equipment, and scope of work for major regional projects.
  • Verify permitting for all aspects of projects and ensure drawings are used on all jobs.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings.
  • Verify and monitor the progress of all projects.
  • Verify and monitor billings, AIA Documents, Lien waivers, and project collections of AR.
