About The Position

The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the balance of engineering, planning, execution, and delivery of the Springer project in Imlay, Nevada. This role provides strategic leadership, technical oversight, and disciplined project management to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and corporate requirements. The Senior Construction Manager acts as the primary integrator across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations readiness.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Ability to build and sustain a high-performance safety culture
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in mining, heavy industrial, or major capital projects.
  • Proven track record delivering construction of mines, mineral processing facilities or similarly large industrial facilities from early works through commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of mining infrastructure (process plant, underground and open pit, utilities, roads, water systems, camp, power, etc.).
  • Expertise in project controls (cost, schedule, risk) and contract management.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and contractors in remote or complex environments.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States for any employer without the requirement for sponsorship currently nor in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading brownfield construction projects, major process plant refurbishments, plant restart projects, or large-scale shutdown and maintenance programs is a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • engineering degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall execution of the Springer project through commissioning.
  • Manage project strategy, objectives, and critical path; ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Responsible for developing detailed project execution plan and implementing including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk frameworks.
  • Coordinate engineering, environmental, safety, procurement, and contractors to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Oversee the transition from project development to construction and handover to operations.
  • Provide direct onsite leadership to the construction teams, ensuring safe and effective execution of all site activities.
  • Work closely with EPC/EPCM partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to specifications and performance expectations.
  • Monitor construction progress, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain compliance with engineering design and quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the site planning to ensure safe and efficient working area on site for all contractors.
  • Manage the construction of the surface infrastructure, process plant and coordinate the interface with the underground mine construction.
  • Prepare the construction execution plan including resource loaded construction schedule, labor estimate, headcount on site and material delivery.
  • Work closely with construction companies and EPC contractor to plan for the labor sourcing and accommodation planning.
  • Develop and manage the full project budget, including capital cost estimates and contingencies.
  • Implement robust cost control, forecasting, and reporting systems.
  • Approve major commitments, contracts and change orders.
  • Responsible for the integrated master schedule for balance of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain critical path and key milestone dates.
  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership in health and safety, establishing clear expectations and accountability across all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure the project complies with environmental permits, mine regulations, and corporate standards.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership.
  • Build strong, transparent relationships with site leadership and the incoming operations team.
  • Lead commissioning and handover planning to ensure the mine is operationally ready on day one.
  • Ensure integration of training, staffing, maintenance planning, and systems setup into the construction schedule.
  • Oversee performance testing and final acceptance of all major systems and facilities.
