Requirements

  • 15 - 20 years supervisory or equivalent experience in concrete and forming
  • Engineering or Construction related degree/diploma, or an equivalent work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements and negotiations essential
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills
  • Experienced in managing and developing a team

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall project performance of the portfolio of ED Forming projects across Western Canada
  • Oversee the design, construction, and warranty handover of projects to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule objectives
  • Manage, mentor & develop ED Forming Project Managers, Coordinators, Superintendents, etc.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
  • Develop and maintain pre-construction schedules, baseline construction schedules, procurement schedules, commissioning and PDI schedules
  • Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
  • Work closely with Health & Safety to ensure EllisDon's best safety practices are being followed on all sites
  • Lead and develop area initiatives and best practices that align with the business goals
  • Conduct productivity analyses across ED Forming projects
  • Be involved in the forecasting & hiring of new salaried staff for ED Forming
