About The Position

Accenture Construct is seeking a Construction Manager for Transit projects. This role is responsible for delivering critical infrastructure such as rail networks and public infrastructure, focusing on smarter, safer, and more sustainable solutions. You will work with a team of project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists, utilizing AI and real-world delivery expertise. Accenture Construct takes on entire programs, from strategy through construction and handover, ensuring successful project outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Ten years of experience in construction management on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably with individual project values of $30 million or greater.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope.
  • Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.
  • Experience on FTA-funded projects, including familiarity with federal contract compliance requirements.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alternative delivery methods, particularly GC/CM and design-build, is preferred, including experience supporting preconstruction and construction phases
  • Established relationships with Washington transit agencies and public works departments are a significant advantage
  • Relevant agencies include Sound Transit, Community Transit, King County Metro, Pierce Transit, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit, Intercity Transit, Spokane Transit, C-TRAN, and WSDOT
  • Experience with EV charging or transit electrification infrastructure
  • Contractor-side experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Engineer)
  • Competency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Familiarity with a construction document management platform such as Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of client employees, agency personnel, contractor staff, and the traveling public at all times.
  • Serve as the owner's representative for all aspects of the project, overseeing project staff, daily field and office operations, and all supporting project functions.
  • Support client executive leadership in the successful delivery and management of the project.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, provide regular reporting to executive leadership, and manage project execution to maintain quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Assist in overseeing engineering, construction, quality, safety, environmental, third-party, and community outreach activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Represent the client with community stakeholders and public agencies, including cities, counties, WSDOT, utilities, and permitting authorities.
  • Champion the project's safety culture and provide leadership and oversight to achieve zero lost-time incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all client contract requirements and project governance standards.
  • Perform constructability reviews of design packages and provide recommendations to enhance project delivery, safety, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate construction activities with transit operations to minimize service disruptions through advance planning, communication, and ongoing coordination during active construction.
  • Oversee compliance with federal and state contract requirements on federally funded projects, including Buy America provisions, Davis-Bacon and Washington State prevailing wage requirements, and DBE reporting obligations.
