About The Position

As a Construction Manager at LJA Land Development, focusing on Construction Management Inspections, you will provide overall construction management services for the Land Development Water/Wastewater Group. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and project representatives. This role will support successful project delivery through construction coordination, constructability review, quality assurance/quality control site visits, schedule organization, submittal review, and cost estimating.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between project managers, contractors, and project representatives/inspectors.
  • Ability to attend on-site construction meetings and pre-construction meetings.
  • Ability to periodically visit construction sites for QA/QC.
  • Ability to review construction plans and contract documents for constructability.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize construction schedules and submittal reviews.
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates.
  • Ability to drive to and from various outside meetings.
  • Ability to inspect water/wastewater facility project sites.
  • Ability to work under exposure to inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between project managers, contractors, and project representatives/inspectors.
  • Organize or attend on-site construction meetings and pre-construction meetings as required.
  • Periodically visit construction sites for QA/QC.
  • Review construction plans and contract documents for constructability.
  • Coordinate and organize construction schedules and submittal reviews.
  • Prepare cost estimates.
  • Drive to and from outside meetings and inspect water/wastewater facility project sites.
  • Work outdoors as needed, including exposure to inclement weather conditions.
  • Review the contractors’ estimate of quantities to verify payment accuracy and approve said estimates.
