About The Position

The Assistant Regional Land Development Manager supports the Regional Land Development Manager in executing the land development process — feasibility, entitlements, design, and construction — for the assigned region, ensuring all lots are developed on time and on budget. This role builds the technical knowledge, relationships, and judgment needed to grow into a Regional Land Development Manager role by taking on progressively greater ownership under direction and mentorship within the assigned region.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: civil engineering, infrastructure construction management, land surveying, or land planning preferred.
Knowledge of residential infrastructure and building construction.
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Able to read and interpret engineering plans.
Able to make public presentations at City/County Council and Commission hearings and meet with public officials in a professional manner.
Can build relationships and communicate effectively with individuals in various functional areas inside and outside of the organization.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction related field desired.

Responsibilities

Supports land development due diligence by researching project feasibility (zoning, municipal code, records, assessor maps), flagging potential issues, and compiling bids, estimates, and budgets into acquisition packets for the Regional Land Development Manager's and executive team's review.
Assists with the entitlement process by coordinating with consultants, preparing for public meetings and hearings, and coordinating zoning and municipal submittals through to approval while keeping the Regional Land Development Manager informed.
Supports final platting activity for projects nearing completion by developing and preparing final plat documents for submittal during construction, coordinating with the Regional Land Development Manager on recordation requirements and timing.
Supports infrastructure construction under the Regional Land Development Manager's direction by assisting with installation oversight and budget/invoice tracking while monitoring subcontractor and municipal progress against schedule, escalating issues as needed.
Provides broad support across regional land development activities, while actively building the technical knowledge, relationships, and judgment needed to grow into a Regional Land Development Manager role.
