About The Position

Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service, aiming to serve all humans equally by providing access to essential goods. They design, build, and operate an autonomous logistics system, making millions of deliveries globally. Zipline operates on four continents, with a delivery occurring every 30 seconds. Their system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and saves people time. With over 140 million autonomous miles flown, Zipline is transforming access to healthcare, consumer products, and food worldwide. They seek practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth, motivated by building systems with a meaningful impact and scaling the future of logistics. The Ground Systems Deployment and Construction team is responsible for developing functional drone charging sites, encompassing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction engineering. Their goal is to deliver world-class construction execution with zero issues in the first 30 days, on time and on budget, using scalable, cost-optimized, and serviceable designs. As a Construction Management Intern in Dallas-Fort Worth, you will support the rollout of Zipline's systems across multiple metros, bridging the gap between the UAS world and the built environment for Zipline, its customers, and the industry. You will be involved in the entire process from site identification through permitting, approvals, and construction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Communications, Government Affairs, Engineering, and Operations to address operational and technical challenges and expedite customer site activation. The role requires technical savviness and the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors. You will drive all aspects of project construction to establish Zipline’s ground infrastructure in the region, including contractor evaluation, contracting, bid evaluation, design review, full-scope site construction management, and project completion oversight. You will work with the Construction Management team, the broader Deployment team, Real Estate and Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Engineering to build stakeholder relationships and secure necessary approvals for network expansion. You will also support the management of external vendors and ensure project timelines are met while aligning with Zipline’s strategic goals.
