About The Position
This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The Construction & Maintenance Technician position pays between $44,331 to $55,414, and the Senior Construction & Maintenance Technician position pays between $50,181 to $62,727. Placement is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate. This pay range is composed of a current base pay range of $43,040 to $53,800 and $48,720 to $60,900 with 3% supplemental pay, which is administered in accordance with NMGC's Supplemental Pay Policy. The Successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Santa Fe Service Center. About This OpportunityAre you searching for a company you can grow and develop in? Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Construction & Maintenance Tech: 0 years of experience and the ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 1 year of hire through company-provided paid training
- Sr. Construction & Maintenance Tech: 2 years of experience, a CDL, and Journeyman Gas Fitter’s License (JGL) dependent on location
Responsibilities
- Prepare job sites for safe operation
- Frequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
- Excavate site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety procedures
- Installation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion/electrofusion.
- Perform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.
- Operate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
- Senior Level: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities
