About The Position

Pacific Pros is seeking a Construction Logistics Specialist II for Construction Projects to serve as the Owner's representative for Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA). This role requires local availability for an on-site position in Los Angeles, CA. The position is full-time and expected to begin in August 2026, though immediate openings are available. Typical working hours are day shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 5:00 am – 1:30 pm M-F) or night shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am Sun).

Requirements

  • Multiple years of airport experience as a wayfinding specialist.
  • Proficiency in assessing signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards.
  • Experience managing multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and analyzing project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
  • In-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications.
  • Knowledge of signage, temporary wayfinding, and mapping industry best practices.
  • Ability to review projects’ submittals, Phasing Plans, and Site Logistics Plans.
  • Strong visualization skills.
  • Experience developing concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel.
  • Proficient in planning, production, and installation of temporary wayfinding.
  • Hands-on experience with installation procedures.
  • Skilled in tracking phasing for production and installation schedules across multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail in verifying the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements.
  • Skilled in layout and information design.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools—including Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Must pass the federal background check.
  • A LAWA badge is required.
  • 10 years or more of experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, or any other relevant professional license or certification.
  • Availability to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Owner's representative.
  • Create, implement, and oversee temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrian flow and user experience.
  • Assess signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards, and recommend sign types specific to each project.
  • Manage multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating across various disciplines and meeting multiple deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
  • Evaluate signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations to maintain effective wayfinding.
  • Review projects' submittals, Phasing Plans, and Site Logistics Plans as submitted through the ASR and LIR processes, with a keen eye for wayfinding impacts.
  • Develop concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel with high visual impact.
  • Plan, produce, and install temporary wayfinding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
  • Conduct installation procedures and regular site walks to evaluate signage effectiveness and update plans as needed.
  • Track phasing for production and installation schedules across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and a holistic approach across projects.
  • Verify the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability across all materials.
  • Format wayfinding plans, maps, newsletters, flyers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials, applying visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards.
  • Communicate technical or field-based information to both project teams and non-technical stakeholders.
