About The Position

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to join our aviation team as a Construction Logistics Specialist II in Los Angeles County. This role focuses on wayfinding strategies within airport construction environments, ensuring effective pedestrian flow and user experience through high-quality signage and clear communication.

Requirements

  • 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.
  • Proficient in assessing signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards.
  • Experience managing multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
  • In-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications.
  • Knowledge of signage, temporary wayfinding, and mapping industry best practices.
  • Ability to review projects' submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans.
  • Strong visualization skills.
  • Proficient in planning, production, and installation of temporary wayfinding.
  • Hands-on experience with installation procedures.
  • Skilled in tracking phasing for production, and installation schedules across multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail in verifying the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements.
  • Skilled in layout and information design.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must pass the federal background check.
  • Airport Badge is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant professional licensure and/or certification are strongly preferred (e.g., AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP).

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and oversee temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrian flow and user experience.
  • Assess signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards, recommending appropriate sign types for each project.
  • Manage multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating across various disciplines and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans to evaluate signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations.
  • Review project submittals, including Phasing Plans and Site Logistics Plans, with a focus on wayfinding impacts.
  • Develop concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel with high visual impact.
  • Plan, produce, and install temporary wayfinding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
  • Conduct hands-on installation procedures and regular site walks to evaluate signage effectiveness and update plans as needed.
  • Track phasing for production and installation schedules across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Verify the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability.
  • Format wayfinding plans, maps, newsletters, flyers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials, applying visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards.
  • Communicate technical or field-based information clearly to project teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Pass a federal background check and obtain an airport badge.
  • Assume other duties as required/needed.
