About The Position

Perkins Coie, LLP, a leading international law firm and one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work, is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney in its Seattle office to support its nationally recognized construction law practice. The group's core practice areas include counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation. The position will involve litigating all types of construction disputes, such as delay and disruption claims, payment disputes (mechanic’s lien, bond, and stop notice claims), and breach of contract claims. Additionally, the role will include transactional work, such as preparing and negotiating construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements.

Requirements

3-5 years of construction law or equivalent experience.
Experience litigating all types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes such as mechanic’s lien, bond, and stop notice claims, and breach of contract claims.
Excellent academic credentials.
Strong references.
Superb written and oral communication skills.
WA Bar membership.

Nice To Haves

Experience in preparing and negotiating construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements.
Prior AmLaw 100 experience.
Judicial clerkship experience.
