About The Position

The Primoris Renewable Energy (PRE) Learning and Development (L&D) department is seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable individual with a background in front-line construction leadership who can develop leadership competencies and offer coaching to support the development of Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, and other front-line leadership roles. This role will develop and maintain front-line leadership competencies in various roles across the company. You will also observe and evaluate employees to determine progress, provide feedback, make / implement suggestions for improvement, and ensure employee performance is aligned with organizational goals. This role requires strong skills in communication, leadership, presentation, and relationship building.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in construction front-line leadership role
  • Excellent skills in time management, working autonomously, creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and both verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in word processing, data collection, and presentation software
  • Proficient at delivering presentations to small and large groups of construction personnel
  • Highly organized person who can use planning and processes to support daily work
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Positive people skills and pleasant demeanor
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Passion for helping others

Nice To Haves

  • Previous coaching or instructional experience
  • Experience in Solar PV/BESS
  • Experience in the electrical, mechanical, and/or civil trades
  • Experience in developing construction-related training content
  • Proficient in capturing videos and editing videos
  • Proficient in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole

Responsibilities

  • Develop standards and leadership competencies for Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, and other front-line leadership roles
  • Deliver training presentations in the field and corporate offices
  • Provide actionable coaching to employees and supervisors to address gaps in employee performance
  • Maintain competency programs across all job sites within the business unit, including tracking and enforcement of employee / supervisor participation
  • As needed, assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related materials to support individuals in front-line leadership roles
  • Identify gaps in processes/procedures across the company and offer/develop solutions
  • Effectively assess employee capabilities
  • Create evaluations to gauge the business impact of competencies; make effective choices about how to update competencies based on evaluation data
  • Frequently collaborate with other members of the L&D team
  • Coordinate with the Primoris Corporate Office and other Primoris Business Units about training offerings and needs of employees on project sites
  • When needed, assist L&D Team with communicating with leadership / learners in the field
  • Assist with the transfer of data within Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Assist with other L&D tasks and initiatives as directed
