About The Position

V2X is seeking skilled Leadership-Training-Program (LTP) Coach/Instructor (C/I) to work under the direction of the Brigade Command Group Senior Coach / Team Lead. Responsibilities include leading a team of company coaches while also coaching, teaching and mentoring a group of company commanders on troop leading procedures in a series of practical exercises and seminars. The mission of the Leader Training Program (LTP) is to coach BCT leadership, staff, and subordinate Battalion leadership. This position is full-time working for the National Training Center Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions (WTRS) contract at the National Training Center (NTC). The WTRS is located at Fort Irwin, CA in the Mojave Desert approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA. WTRS operations support the NTC mission to provide realistic joint and combined arms training and is focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battlefield. If selected, you can expect to travel to Fort Irwin, CA on an as needed basis to support training rotations for approximately 10 days per rotation, up to 10 times per year, with the possibility of supporting no more than four mobile training team LTPs of a shorter duration. Travel expenses reimbursed. The Leadership Training Program (LTP) Team regularly exercises independent judgment providing oversight, supervision, and training. LTP Coaches teach, coach, and mentor their counterparts and lead them through a program of tactical instruction that will prepare them to conduct operations in a large-scale combat scenario as part of BCT Decisive Action.

Requirements

Must have experience leading and training a brigade or battalion.
Current with US Army doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Must be a former Commander of a US Army maneuver battalion (Armor, Cavalry, Infantry).
Must possess, at a minimum, the requisite military experience at the tactical battalion command level.
Must demonstrate U.S. Army practical experience and professional military education commensurate with duty requirements.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) to utilize government operating systems.
Must maintain a valid state Driver's License and maintain Fort Irwin, CA post driving privileges.
Must be able to obtain Military vehicle license to drive a HMMWV, or its Army equivalent.
Must be able travel off road in company and military tactical vehicles, when required.

Nice To Haves

Combat experience is desired.
Experience at a CTC as an Observer Coach/Trainer (OC/T).
Experience at the U.S. Army Brigade Combat Team level or below.

Responsibilities

Leading a team of company coaches.

Teaching, coaching, and mentoring counterparts and leading them through a program of tactical instruction that will prepare them to conduct operations in a large-scale combat scenario as part of BCT Decisive Action.
Instructing Company Commanders and leading them through a program of tactical instruction that will prepare them to conduct tactical offensive, defensive, and stability operations as part of brigade combat team (BCT) decisive action.
Instructing combat teams and their staff through seminar-focused learning opportunities and constructive After-Action Reviews (AARs).
Conducting unit training evaluations using live and virtual combat simulations.
Facilitating coaching use of BCT capabilities by the training unit.
Designing and preparing training scenarios.
