About The Position

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our team has made some great progress this season, and there is much more work to be done! We're looking for hardworking Construction Labourers to join several of our crews. As part of our team, you'll work on a variety of heavy civil projects, supporting experienced crews with tasks such as site prep, grading, excavation, underground utilities, roadwork and more. Every day brings something different, and safety is always top priority. Requirements

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
Ability to complete physically demanding labour work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating heavy equipment considered an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

Daily inspection of tools and equipment.
Complete a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
Ensure company equipment is operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
Daily involvement in safety conscious activities and tailgate meetings.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by the Foreman.
Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other team members.
Other various construction related activities as instructed.
