As an Outside Laborer, you’ll be an integral part of our projects, helping with a variety of tasks including site preparation, landscaping, and general labor. You’ll work alongside a skilled crew, contributing to projects that make a tangible impact. This opportunity is based out of our Warrenton,VA. location The ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and home on the weekends. Per Diem and hotel stay provided.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
  • Quick learner with the ability to take on new tasks effectively.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of prior work experience

Responsibilities

  • Review detailed work specifications and plans for the day’s tasks.
  • Conduct safety checks on all tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and readiness.
  • Operate a variety of tools, including power tools like drills and circular saws, as well as landscape equipment like chainsaws and weed eaters, to perform critical tasks on-site.
  • Work hands-on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area.
  • Analyze the site and adapt to changing conditions, making quick decisions to address any challenges that arise during the day.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Expand your understanding of erosion control methods and traffic control protocols, applying this knowledge to improve your work each day.
  • Clean and store tools and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for the next day.
  • Review completed tasks with your supervisor to confirm everything meets the required standards and specifications.
