About The Position
Skillforce is currently hiring construction laborers for ongoing projects in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate is reliable with a good work ethic and has 2 years of commercial construction experience.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the construction industry.
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid ID- drivers license, passport, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices
- An OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting carpenters and various skilled tradesman on site.
- Site preparation and clean up.
- Material and equipment handling.
- Following all health and safety regulations, including those established by OSHA.
- Operating hand and power tools such as jackhammers, drills, saws, etc.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting building materials (lumber, steel, concrete, etc.) around the site.
- Clearing debris, garbage, and hazardous materials to maintain a safe working environment.
