Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Laborer to join our team at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD! This position is part of our Federal Solutions team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety practices.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous construction or general labor experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and equipment operators.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazards.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform basic earthwork activities.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and effectively.
  • Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and signage.
  • Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with demolition, concrete work, and other construction-related tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support project completion.
