Royal Electric Company is seeking Laborers for their infrastructure projects in Austin, TX, specifically at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The Laborer will work with skilled trades on underground excavation for utility pipe installation. Requirements

2+ years of general experience as a laborer in the construction industry
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
Must have experience working with duct banks and conduit
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be eligible to drive and operate Royal Electric vehicles
Must be eligible to pass airport badging process
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with airfield, underground utilities, or civil a plus
Experience working with concrete pouring/forming a plus
OSHA 10 Certification

Responsibilities

Mobilization and demobilization of the jobsite; set-up, break down, staging, clean up, etc.
Assisting electricians and operating engineers in the placement of underground utilities.
Perform concrete work including pours and form work.
Perform basic general labor procedures such as shoveling, trenching, grading, cribbing, lifting and carrying heavy materials, loading and unloading trucks.
Operate and maintain good care of tools and company vehicles
Assist other crew members, operators, and other skilled labor when needed
Backfill trenches and pits, hand dig, use of shovels
Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor
